Unveiling of the Johnny Mercer Statue

As a capstone to the exciting JOHNNY MERCER CENTENNIAL year (2009), join the Mercer family, Friends of Johnny Mercer, Inc., worldwide fans, and citizens of Savannah in making history as the life-size bronze statue of Johnny Mercer is unveiled in Savannah's new Ellis Square in City Market. Savannah Sculptor Susie Chisholm was commissioned to produce the statue in special commemoration of the centennial of Johnny Mercer's birth. Mercer was born in Savannah, Georgia, on November 18, 1909.
